Remeo is an intensive care rehabilitation clinic for patients with chronic or persistent critical illness.  The goal at Remeo (latin: “the return of me”) is for each patient to recover as completely as possible and find a safe return to life outside the hospital. To achieve this, our multidisciplinary team has specialized in rehabilitation after intensive care treatment. Our teams include doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, social workers, engineers, and other specialists as needed.

Weaning from mechanical ventilation and tracheostomy is often a primary treatment goal, and each patient receives highly individualized care according to their needs. If weaning is not a priority or not possible, we help train personal care assistants for continued management after discharge. Patients who do not need specialized respiratory care but who require advanced medical treatment combined with simultaneous rehabilitation are also welcome to Remeo. Located in Sköndal, Stockholm, Remeo accepts patients from all healthcare regions in Sweden.

Does Remeo accept patients from abroad?

Remeo can accept patients for intensive care rehabilitation from abroad under the condition that referrals can go via a Swedish public healthcare provider, i.e. a region. If you as a physician, patient or relative are interested in what the conditions look like in a specific case, we will be happy to tell you more. Please contact +46 730 752040.
